Dear Friends,
Reading the book “The Four Agreements” made me think that
Word is the power that you have to create ✞.
Bible ꧁𝕵𝖊𝖘𝖚𝖘 𝖎𝖘 𝕷𝖔𝖗𝖉꧂- In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word is God.So that means if the word is God, you have to realise its power.
As we call it gossip🗣️💬👂🧏, day-to-day human interaction is usually like kcalb cigam (read backwards). Like the pressure explained in the movie 3 Idiots, it has a hidden negative force.
Pure Speech 🗣️ - Use the powerful positive words to break all tiny agreements that make us suffer.
Reversing Age Experiment
Harvard's Ellen Langer conducted a study in 1981 where men in their 70s and 80s lived for five days pretending to be 22 years younger. Their retreat was set up with reminders of the past (old magazines, music). Researchers found significant improvements in their physical health (like posture and eyesight) and memory afterwards, simply because they had pretended to be younger. This shows our mindset matters. Similarly, even when things are difficult or uncontrollable, choosing positive or healing words can create a better atmosphere and improve the situation.
Have you ever done a long marathon or a cycling event? Along the way, people cheer for you, saying, Come on, you can do it! Somehow, you finish it more easily. I've experienced this many times. Hence, use words that create beauty, love and a supportive ecosystem to help each other.
… If you focus on the hurt, you will continue to suffer. If you focus on the lesson, you will continue to grow. # Choice is yours
Gossip is a poison 🧪
Watch out for the joy-stealers: gossip, criticism, complaining, faultfinding, and a negative, judgmental attitude. This may help them to transfer their emotional baggage to you.
What Emotional Baggage Means Here:
Imagine you're carrying a heavy backpack filled with bad feelings, worries, or negative ideas. These feelings and worries aren't yours originally; you picked them up from other people or past experiences. This emotional baggage weighs you down. How can it become a habit simply by
Copying Others When You're Unsure:
When you're young or don't know what's right or wrong, you might just copy older people or do what they tell you.
Catching Negative Feelings from Others:
Example: If someone keeps saying, Driving this road is always a nightmare! You might start to feel anxious about that road, too, even if you've never driven it. They've passed their negative feelings onto you.
Don't let it get to you: If people try to make you feel bad about things (like food, a trip, or a new task), don't take it to heart. It can make you feel down.
When people ignore you (like on social media): If someone doesn't tag you or reply to your messages, even though they're online, try not to take it personally. It usually means they are having a bad day, or maybe they're trying to show off to others and make themselves feel better by ignoring you. It's more about them and their issues than it is about you. If someone is not treating you with love and respect, it is a gift if they walk away from you.
Make a strong habit 🎯 not to take anything personally.
Don’t let others decide what you can or can’t do! Remember, you are the director of your movie 🎬.
Right speech 🗣️ means speaking truthfully, kindly, beneficially, with goodwill
Lying is very dangerous and can lead to more wrongdoing. The main goal is to speak only words that don't harm yourself or others. This means avoiding lies, divisive talk, abusive language, and idle gossip. Instead, choose words that are pleasant, helpful, and reflect what you say to ensure it's constructive.
