Post: 5/12 - The Purification Journey
High school chemistry was interesting. Organic and inorganic worlds were not just subjects - they were ways of seeing how things come together and transform. I still remember, during JEE preparation, reading Morrison & Boyd, J.D. Lee, Sanyal & Sanyal- understanding the mechanism of reactions.
In chemistry, when you combine two substances, the outcome depends on their nature (remembering the periodic table ?) - their affinity, tendency to bond, to react, to separate. Some combinations create something useful. Some create waste. The purity in any form can come only when the waste is removed completely.
Think of silica binding with iron impurities to form slag. The slag is removed, leaving behind purer metal. A simple reaction- but an excellent idea of purification.
In Vedic traditions, a Yajna was performed to honor the deities, purify the environment, and align with deeper spiritual intentions. Its effectiveness did not come from ritual alone, but from a precise harmony of elements - the geometry of the altar, the presence of fire, carefully chosen materials, and an understanding of natural and cosmic order. Our thoughts work similarly.
When awareness (laser-like focus) is present, it acts like a subtle flux. It doesn’t react with impurities - it reveals them. Hidden patterns, reactions, and emotional residues begin to surface. And once clearly seen, they start losing their grip.

The Equation of Realization
What if we are living in a very limited way of seeing the universe?
Like a being in Flatland, who knows only length and width, but has no idea what height is. Even if a third dimension exists, it cannot be imagined.
In the same way, we think in duality - this or that, good or bad, success or failure, rich or poor, competitions with no interests, etc. Our thoughts move within these boundaries. Maybe that’s why we struggle to see beyond the material world.
So the question is: Do higher dimensions exist? And are we simply unable to perceive them?
It feels possible.
There are hints everywhere -
the subtle sounds that we cannot understand,
the stars whose light tells us they are suns, just very far away,
the sea waves that return again and again, as if in rhythm with us, (take me home)
the quiet presence in nature, in birds, in the sky.
It feels like all are connected.

Sometimes, or most of the time, life is very simple. We make it complicated through our perceptions and biases.
Think of how children explain things - so direct & clear. No filters.
Maybe it’s the same with the world around us.
The morning chirps of birds,
the quiet sounds of a forest,
Perhaps they are just simple greetings in their own way.

Very well explained, really like the inner furnace concept
